Default 1968 j code mustang is there a market for these?

hey everyone i have a 1968 mustang j-code that my father bought in 1969 from the dealership..my father wrecked it in 1978 or so and had front end damage to the car..then he sold it to a friend of his shortly after that...not too long ago i towed a vehicle for this friend of my fathers and he had it sitting out in the field in the same condition (title still in my fathers name) and i recognized it because my dad had the shackles lifted up in the rear..lol guess it was popular back then..hah..any ways the guy sold me the car for what he gave for it..only 200 dollars..which was a deal because it was a part of my history...the rear seat is ripped along the seams(but fixable), all the glass w/the chrome molding is on the car..both doors w/great window chrome(one door has rust on bottom where skin meets door) fenders with badges are good but not mint.instrument panel is there(little faded)..and a few other good mechanical parts ..i was wonder if there is a market for these things.ANY ADVICE would help thanks guys love this site!!!!!!!

Is the 302 still in the car? Is it a fastback or coupe? What damage is done to it/ where?

Its an old mustang. It doesn't matter what the engine code is, there is a market for it.

The unique part about the J-code is the heads. A one year only deal where they had bigger valves and small combustion chambers for the first year 302 4bbl. It's a rare engine code inspite of what Prune says. Go ask for an "R" code car and say " Engine code doesn't matter".

The main reason I know this is my brother bought one in 69. Black with a red interior and a three speed. It would dust a 289 hi-po. It would be the car that started 30 years of old Fords we owned. He sold it in 72 for a Grand Torino ( yes I want to see the movie). It resurfaced about 6 years ago, found my an old highschool buddy who is into old Cyclones and Comets. It disappeared again and the same guy found it 60 miles away from the first place he found it. My brother tried to buy it back but no sale so far. I think he likes his 69 Mach better at this point which is painted the same as his 68. Black with a white stripe. Best of Luck.
