Ok my advice is to buy yourself a manual.
You will need one eventually if you are going to keep the car.

Let's see if I remember. My '65 has been apart for three years.

To turn heat on push down the first two levers. The first lever opens heater control valve, the second lever is the temp. control. The temp lever is on hot when it is down. The third lever is defrost? maybe.

The top lever(that switches L to R) is the fan control

Anyhoo...push first two levers down for heat.

Yupp. the first two levers down will give you heat, the one all the way to the right IS defrost, and the top IS the fan. but turning on the fan will cool down your heat. so i recommend just letting your heat stay on while you go down the road and the outside wind will blow your heat around.

I will try that. I thought the fan had to be on for anything to happen because when i try the first 2 down I can hear it but I don't feel it blowing out anywhere
