Default opinions on solid rolller lifter noise

I'm building a 408W with a roller cam. I'm debating between solid and hyd roller lifters. The only thing I'm concerned with is the noise. Anybody have experience with the two and how much of an increase in valve train noise was there?

I had a '69 SS396/375hp Chevelle years back, with 11:1 compression and solid lifters. I used to love how the clatter of the lifters tapping balanced with the throaty exhaust through the chrome-plated Hooker model 2265 36" equal-length headers I put on that car. Didn't have air conditioning, of course, so I was running with all the windows open on those summer nights. The sound that car made was glorious when taking it to 6500 rpms before each shift. It was stolen in 1975 and never recovered. But I guess I have a pretty good replacement for it now with my '08 GT500.

unless you plan on racing it on a regular basis go hyd. besides being more noisey, they need lots of maintenence.
