Nice engine ! I swapped engine and trannys when I painted mine. I bought the rattle can paint at Autozone. It was DE 1606 Ford dark Blue in Duplicolor.It matched the paint that was on the engine previous. The fuel pump was from the other engine and was painted the lighter blue. I swapped it later after having problems with the dark blue painted pump that was on the final painted engine

My paint came from National Parts Depot, it is the concours correct paint for my 1966 289 Hi-Po, referred to as corporate blue I believe. been a few years, so I do not recall the paint number.

I'll have to get me some of that paint and try it out. I have tried a few and all have been lighter than the dark blue on my engine.
