Hello to all, I am into customized restorations and would appreciate all suggestions for my 1965 project. What updates or conversions have you tried, liked or disliked, where to find the good stuff, etc. Currently looking for a standard drivetrain from a 92 or 93 GT. Thank you.
Hello. Personally, I usually just do brand new versions of as-original on my cars, like the front disc brake kit from SSBC, so that all of the factory diagrams are still useful if something goes goofy on me. There are quite a few people here that do that resto-mod thing, though, and I'm sure they'll chime in on what actually works.
I believe you'll find alot of things have been thought of and implemented here. Most work it's mainly up to you to decide what you like which is the most important thing.

Thanx for the greets, engine conversion preference?
Do most of you that have converted a classic prefer to go with OBDI (pre-96) or OBDII (post-96) for your engine? Why? Thanx for the greetings! I paid $1000 for a 1965 coupe with 77k actual miles, 289 4V, with a rock solid body. Is that a good deal?
Hi again. If the car actually came from the factory with a 289 4bbl, then, yes, you got a very good deal. The fifth digit of the vin will be either A, D or K if the car is really a 289 4bbl car. If it's K, the car might have a few different parts that are worth more than a grand each.
and good luck with you project, sounds like you got a great deal.
