I have a 67 coupe that I need to put some form of kill switch, lo jack, or something in case it get's stolen. My neighborhood is not the safest and I don't have a garage to store it in either. Any recommendations as far as products, websites or stores would be AWESOME!!! Thanks ahead of time.
lo jack the security system with either the A package ( you find its gone call police they track it ) or B package( it gets moved you and police get notified right away ) not sure what they are exactly but thats what the basics are
it works by when a cop car gets near your stolen car, that broadcasts a signal, it leads them to it.
even police choppers and boats.
viper security. with my car you gotta bust alock or break a window to set off the alarm
on my t bird, you touch the handle, not even lifting, it sounds some horns!
or modify ignition, series of 6 3 position switches, wire them up in sequence
example
6 switches in even, to start the car, flip them in to a pattern like
up up middle down up down or something only you know, but this must be wired in after the ignition so it cant be bypassed
garage or carport with walls and door.
a 12 gauge

ive found teh fresh trigger of a mossberg is ok... the hammer down and classic pump sound of an 870 works well, but my personal favorite, the H&R model 88 single barrel.
its only like $100 at wally world, ofcorse mine is 20 years old. but the new ones are from new england fire arms ( same company) i dunno about the new one,s but this old one, will flat out rock your world.
but seriously lo jack is a pretty good deturent/recovery system

i know how you feel. i worry about mine too since my neighborhood isn't the greatest either. i usually pull the coil wire and they would have to figure out how to turn on my fuel pump... once its done its getting lo jack/alarm system installed

How about a removable steering wheel. One thing you can do for now is take the rotor out of the distributor, it will never start and I doubt they will figure it out.
Chain a pitbull to the steering wheel. The best insurance you can afford is the best thing really.Alarms kill switches can slow down or stop some but you can't stop a tow truck. Some on here have talked about making fake coil wires so it won't start they sell a auto t handle with a lock so they can't get it in gear.A lo jack is great but a cop has to be close to the car to find it.What if the car is took to the middle of no where and stripped.I drive a repo tow truck for a living many nights i have took cars with the alarms screaming at 3am no one looks out.
