Disc Brake Conversion cheaper? (College student)

I know this is being a cheapskate but I was wondering if there's any way to indivisually purchase the right discs, calipers, springs and things to upgrade my brake system at a lower cost than the 1,000.00 bucks?

I'm rebuilding my car but my pockets are running a bit thin, 7k invested so far

yeah that thread should answer your question. it is possible. I don't consider that being cheap you just want the best deal. I am working on paying for college now too and i know any money saved is a big deal.

Yup... I got same kit and hope to get it installed soon. All info on kit has been positive and instructions look very easy to follow.
