That's the picture. If you look at the pictures of the whole car, you see that the hood is fitted in between the two front fenders pretty well, so it isn't that the fender was just poorly fitted and hanging out. It's the inner fender that's been pushed inward. As far as pointing you toward another car goes, I don't recommend particular cars that I haven't looked at up close and personal, but, that $6500 price is pretty much top dollar for a nice 6 cyl 3-speed car driver. If you look through places like craig's list, Hemmings Motor News, you'll come across one in fairly short order. The thing to remember about looking at an old mustang is that what you see over-rides what you are told by the person trying to sell the car to you. A person will tell you ' Never been wrecked' because that's just what people do. It's like asking 'How have you been?' It's a greeting, not a question. It means nothing.
