Here are pictures of Oliver when I first got him before he was vandalized, about a year ago, and about a month ago with his new hood letters on. Since that pic I have finished cleaning the wheels, including paint, tire cleaning foam, and white wall bleach.

My son Christopher paid for The 66 sight unseen and when it arrived on the truck, I suddenly got how much work was in store for us. The car was delivered on a flatbed and had a tarp over it after sitting in a field since 1978. The brakes were frozen up and we could not get it off the truck by rolling it. I had to connect a tow rope the the back of my Explorer and pull it off the flatbed in 4 wheel low with the Mustangs tires skidding.

Here are pictures from 2 years ago:
First Day

We should have it on the road "legally" next weekend for the first time

I don't have an actual picture of my car that I can post, but I was able to find this picture as an example. This is what my car looked like when I bought it back in December 1996.
If the car had it's original 289 I would have kept it totally original and not gone the restomod route.
It was that clean.

my 66 coupe was wrecked in 1997 and parked in a garage. the owners parents wanted their garage space back, so it was listed on craigslist. i bought it for 1400, and have put much, much more into it.

Those are great! I got to get a scanner. I could match a few of those. Neat pics and cool thread folks. I'm finally going through mine again after sitting in the garage for ten years.

While it is not a Mustang, it is the daddy of the Mustang. My 64 Falcon Sprint convertible. The Mustang was built on the same chassis as the Falcon. The first picture is of it when new. That is my arm you see to the right of the picture. The picture was the last on a roll of film and the brown part is where the roll was held during processing. The print was made from an old Kodachrome slide. It is the only picture I have of the car when new. The second picture is of it now sitting with my 06 Stang.
