Total fastback production for 63A and 63B Body Code was 77,079 plus the 562 GT-350's. Only 2.7% of all Mustang's built were optioned as Factory GT's so that would mean about 2,081 Mustang Fastback GT's were built. But it could be more or less because that 2.7% is based on total production of 559,451 Mustangs produced in 1965.
Unfortunately, Ford destroyed all production data for Mustangs built from March, 1964 through the end of 1966. So, we are unable to determine exact production figures on just how many GT Mustang Fastbacks were built. This is why you cannot get a Marti Report for 1965-1966 Mustangs.

A code 65 mustangs..... 
All factory GTs were either an A code or a K code in the 65/66 model years, but, not all A codes and K codes were factory GTs. Most weren't.
