Default 1966 wood grain steering wheel repair?

Any ideas on how to repair the separated wood grain portion of a 1966 mustang. Or should I just buy a new one. Lee

You can buy a repair kit that you have to fill the cracked plastic, and scuff it, paint it etc... its like $90 for the kit.

STEERING WHEEL REPAIR KIT-POR-15 Inc.

It may be cheaper to just buy a new one for around $150-$170
