Nice job, have to admit I'd be a little hesitant to attempt that repair you did. As for junkyards, I have three - the one I got my '65 from, one that is run by a complete jerk that I refuse to go to anymore because of the guy, and the third that I frequent about once a month, run by a father/son kind of deal. I go there so much that now they know me and they just let me on the field to do whatever - the last time, it was like your yard you described, only it had rained, so it was a giant sinkhole wherever you walked. To top that, the completely random thing about that yard is there's longhorns roaming around, so while I'm working on a car, there's a giant longhorn with horns about 5 or 6 feet horn to horn standing 10 feet from me while I work. I guess that works better than a guard dog??
My thought is always "I'll stay over here, and you stay over there."
Seriously though, great job on the car, I believe I saw it in another thread about "pics when you started, pics of it now" or something like that, nice to see it done.
