Default Steering Box Question

I posted this in the tech forum and didn't get any feedback, so I am going to try here. Any info anybody can give me wiould be great. Thanks

I am looking for info on the Flaming River steering box for the 65-66 Mustang. I did a search of this forum, and came up with nothing.

I am thinking about getting one for my '66 fastback, but I have not heard much about them. One guy I know says he heard they are junk and will not last 1000 miles.

Does anybody here have actual experience with one?

My car is being used for a magazine article on installing a tilt wheel column, and I figured this would be a good time to replace the steering box, as I have 1/3 revolution of play/slop in the wheel.

I have heard good things about them. Although, the price is a bit up there. Most places I have looked want close to $500 for one. I decided that I would just save the money and get a rebuild kit for $70. That means I pay only a fraction of the price, and I have the originality of having my original steering box.
