Default power steering unit

have a 68 put new valve control and cylinder on when you start car the steering wheel goes back and forth on its own very fast to point if you try to grab the wheel you would probably break your arm any ideas what causing it and how to fix it.

Hello. The two short hoses that go from the valve body to the cylinder are hooked up backwards. You need to remove them both from either the valve body or the cylinder, whichever one you can get to the easiest, and switch them around. I'm not saying remove both hoses entirely and put one of them where the other was , but, disconnect them both at one end and switch just that one end.
