Default E7 or 68 Heads?

I just picked up an 87 302 GT needs to be rebuilt. Has E7 heads on it but i also have a set of 68 heads from my other 302 that had a pretty beat up block. I plan on getting the edelbrock 2091 kit when i have the funds to do so but for now ill stay with one of these pairs of stockers. Which should i go with?

If the engine is in stock condition without a roller cam then you can use either set - the E7 heads mighth have a slightly larger combustion chamber but compare the valve sizesand see if they are the same. You may have to play with rocker geometry if you use the earlier heads. Watch for differences in the rocker studs - you may need adjustable lock-nuts for the earlier head and different rockers. It depends on what has been done to both sets.

if it's a '87 GT, the 302 will be a roller motor,regardless
