For 67, you can get a Marti Report. That will tell you if it was ordered with the GT package or not. Is it a GT, or a GTA?

As I understand it the '67 GT was more of an appearance option and was available on most anything that wasn't a 6 cylinder. I know that 2Vs could be a GT in '67. The 'A' in GTA only meant 'automatic transmission'. I always thought my dad should have bought me a new GTA but I got his '59 Rambler instead.

The only real way to tell for a '67 is from Marti.

Looking it up I found they came with fog lights, power disk brakes, dual exhaust on the A, K and S codes, the C code stayed single exhaust, the handling package, GT gas cap, and rocker panel stripes.

Of course non-GT cars could have been ordered with fog lights or the handling package too. Not to mention that true GT parts could have been added to a non-GT car by a PO.

If the car is a Dearborn or Metuchen and still has it's buck tag look for "GT" on Dearborn cars or "PIO" or "PI" on Metuchen.

Like mentioned, the Marti report would be the easiest and most sure way. You could have him fax a copy overnight if you have to move quick on the car.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
