Default Mirror pockets, or no mirror pockets...what do you think?

I'm looking at getting an outdoor car cover and I can get it with mirror pockets, or without. Not sure if one is better than the other.

I worry about the cover not having pockets if by chance inclement weather will cause excessive rubbing on the outside of the mirror. On the other hand, if pockets are installed then there are seams which I'm sure are more likely to allow moisture in.

Any car cover aficianados out there?

Just my opinion - I've had 2 covers... both with Mirror pockets.

On the windy days, the mirror pockets will save your cover from taking a trip by itself down your street... this has happened to me several times... although my covercraft cover the back has only come up once... the mirror pockets give it a finished fitted look as well...

I wanted to add - you mentioned about moisture: Any good car cover will allow for moisture to escape from under your cover... so if you are looking for a 100% waterproof/weatherproof cover - I'd build a garage - Because you will get water on your car at certain times!

Good luck in your decision!
