Default 1964 mustang coupe resto mod

First I would like to introduce myself. My name is Drew Smith. Im 19 years old and im from Tupelo, MS. I have had a 64 1/2 coupe since i was ten years old. My dads original plan was to restore the car to all an all original car. Well now im 19 and the car made it to a complete tear down of the car and it had all the body work done besides the paint ( it is primered right now). So here is the new plan. Im wanting to do the car as a resto mod and do some things that my wild mind has thought up. Some include an IRS from an 03' or 04' cobra and the drivetrain. I also want to tub the rear so i can put a wide set of wheels in the rear ( possibly talkin 12 inches wide). So my question for all early model mustang owners is how hard would it be to make this possible. And if it is going to be alot of extra work i will scratch tubbing the rear end but i want to stick with the IRS and drivetrain idea. Thanks for all opinions and help.
