Question 1969 boss mach 1 full restoration need help

Hey guys! Glad to join AFM I'm new and from australia.

I'm lookin to begin a project that I've been waiting a long time for.
I'm getting ready to begin a restoration project on a mustang and I've got my mind set on a 1969 boss mach 1.
I welcome anyone who could give me advice on where to start/how I can acquire a chassis or an old car in need of fullstrip and rebuild. Folks I know a wee bit about old cars but consider me an amateur.

Kind regards to all...

cheers.

Hello. There is no such thing as a Boss Mach I. You can get a Boss 302, a Boss 429, or a Mach I, all of which are a lot of fun to have.

I'm sure there are at least a few good candidates in Oz, but not a whole lot. You might check out Hemmings which is a great source of old cars for sale.

I would look for any 1969 or 1970 sportsroof (fastback) that fits your budget. Then you can build it the way you want, and make it look like a Mach 1, Boss 302 or whatever you like.

Unless you have heaps of $$ though, you mighe consider buying a car that is already done, or close to it.

Good luck
