Default My White & Blue 66 Stolen

All, I am going to use the power of the internet to locate my classic 66. You can view her on my profile, but she is a white and blue coupe and also has blue painted inserts in the rally rims. She is very original and should be easy to spot. She was stolen from Newark/Fremont California on Monday May 11 around 6:30-9:30pm.

If anyone has seen her, please contact the police and notify them that the vehicle is stolen. Thank you all for you help and I am sure many can relate to how I feel right now.

That sucks!

You should post this too over at the Vintage Mustang Forum (VMF). There are many Northern CA members over there that can be on the lookout for it too. The more people that know the better.

How did it get stolen? Sorry about ur loss man, this is one of the reasons why I have not decided to paint my 65 even thow it needs it, but its a daily driver so ill rather not draw any attention. I have an alarm installed and my own anti theft device. I hope they catch those douches

Sorry about that man, I always worry about my car when I leave it somewhere, but an alarm, and a kill switch is about all you can do.

I was eating at a restaurant in Fremont, CA. I was there for about 2 1/2 hours from 7-9:30pm. Here in Northern Cal it gets dark about 8:15pm or so, so there wasnt much darkness to hide under. It was a crowded parking lot, I drove around twice looking for the best place to stash her. I found a spot under the light pole, where there were many cars populated but was a big spot so I dont get any door dings. I backed in, took off my steering wheel [put it in the trunk] and locked the doors.

So my belief is that the thief had a tow truck, cause there is no way to drive the car without the steering wheel.

I have notified and sent emails to every police department, every Mustang part shop, and every Mustang mechanic in the area. I also sent pics to the highway patrol. So, I have many eyes looking for my car. Your help would be nice too. Thanks to all.

Unhappy

I live in the Bay Area. But I see lots of white 66 Mustangs here to be honest. Popular color...
Do you have a license plate number you would be willing to share so I could be certain if I see it and call police?
I don't think the police would like a phone call "I see a white 66 Mustang and read on the internet it might be stolen" without more info.
I will keep an eye out for it. Sucks for sure and I really feel your lose. Hopefully it will be found soon!
Good Karma for you.

Amen to that!
My Mustang has so far (thank God) never been stolen but my daily driver Pontiac Sunfire was stolen from the hospital parking lot on the day I was taking my newborn daughter home after her birth!! I came out with baby in tow and NO car to put her in...I was furious and sick at the same time. It is a terrible sick feeling inside to have your car stolen and the thieves are not worth a bullet, I wanted to drown them in urine for their crime. I hope your car is found and is safe.

Dang im sorry that you have to go through that. A sad but true thing to think about is that maybe you should lookout on craigslist in your area for stang parts that may have been chop shopped. It gives somewhat of a chance of finding it.

Do you think someone would take a beautiful car, although not show ready, and chop it up?

I would think its on the way down south or something. I did hear of stolen cars being found in Monterey last week. It was a gang raid.

What are some options that they would have? Do you think I will see it again? Should I be planning on much insurance money?
