Question 1966 Mustang Coupe Vinyl Top Colors?

Hi, I have a coupe that originally came with a vinyl top. It doesn't have one now, but I'd like to know the original top color. All the research I've done doesn't explain this option. The metal tag on the passenger side of the engine compartment reads "vinyl top-2". Does anybody know if this means anything? Where can I find this out?
Thanks

Ok, thanks for the possible colors. Does "vinyl top-2" suggest a color for this car? Or did it depend on the exterior paint color?

There was also a very rare BLUE vinyl top. This car has its factory vinyl top on and its blue.

Hi again. That blue vinyl top isn't original. The only vinyl tops available for the 65/66 cars were black or white. The parchment vinyl top was made available at the beginning of the 67 model year. There was a blue convertible top available on the early 65 Mustangs ( 64 1/2) but that was dropped at the end of the 64 model year. The vinyl top on the car in the picture doesn't really even appear to be configured like the Ford top. It looks like it's one continuous piece going down the 'A' pillars. Ford's had an overlap there from where they pieced that together. The person that owns that car is mistaken. Ford did not make blue vinyl tops for the 65/66 Mustangs.

Oh well, it may not be original, but I like it. It looks good, and it makes the car unique.

Hi again. That does look nice. I've seen a few of the early convertibles that were white with either blue or the white with blue appointments interiors that had the blue top and it looks nice in person, also. If I ever find an nos blue top, I would probably get it and put it on my car.
