Question 1968 Notchback Gold Nugget Special

I have a 1968 notchback, original colour was gold with a black vinyl roof and a nugget gold interior, woodgrain dash and both upper and lower consoles as well as upholstered rear quarter covers. Interior colour coding is 6y

I recently read about the Golden Nugget Special and how it had a special plaque on the inside. I purchased this car when I was 16 so we are talking 32 years ago but I seem to remember the previous owner talking about a plaque on the dash that he had removed. He also repainted the car black.

Just wondering if anyone knows how I can use the VIN number to find out if the car was one of the Golden Nugget Specials?

Thanks
Kabel

Not sure if you found what you needed yet. Look on the door tag, you should see the DSO number of 74 followed by 1111 indicating it was a special order for the Seattle district. This is the most tell tale sign you have a Golden Nugget Special. I would be interested to see any pictures you have as I currently own one.
Scott.
