Default 1972 Mustang Problem

Hi - I own a 1972 Mustang with a 351 cleveland, when I get her up to 40-45 mph the engine sounds ruff (like it's having problems turning over) but then when I get to about 60-65 mph it is fine. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Could be a vacum leak, or or the butterfly sticking on the carb, I had a Fiat that was doing the same thing and the carb was hanging up so it would not idel or do low speed, but over 50mph it ran like it was a new car. It could also be a timing issue.

I would start with a standard tune up that should fix it or help. And i would look at a pointless ignition upgrade it will run better and no points to ever change again.

Sounds like a carb problem. Maybe time for a carb rebuild. What carb are you running?
