Default Finding a Project Car:

Mustang Monthly just ran a story on "Barn Finds" as someone that has been finding classic cars for years I thought I would put together a short story on my blog for new people in the hobby with some tips for car hunting. This is my personal blog and follows my project cars and road trips etc..

Morgan's & Phillip's Motoring Life: Lost and Found: How to find your "Barn Find"

Check it out.

Thats awesome! I typed in just the year in my craigslist and I found a 1959 Lincoln for $5000.

It is really funny start searching for typos those are the ones that never get looked at.

This is a good thread.

I found a 65 coupe last week while I was driving around during the town wide tag sale, and a road I never go down. The car was in really good shape and in a driveway with a for sale sign but I had no interest in it. Surprised to see it though, never seen it around and was likely put out only for that weekend to see if they would get any bites.

I know of 2 Mustang fastbacks sitting in a yard for the past 20 years, one has been rear ended so hard the tail panel is where the back seat should be. Don't know the condition of the other. I heard about them from a guy in work that his neighbor has them. I've never seen them or have any other info but he's trying to find out more when he gets the chance. Trying to find out what years and possibly pics. Might be some decent parts left. They are deep back on the property, not visible from the road, and unfortunately likely won't leave the property whole as there's no vehicle access to them anymore due to the land being regraded years ago. A helicopter may be the only way to remove them intact!

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

OMG!! I have to say thank you sooo much. I used your idea of just the year (1958, just typing in random years) on my craigslist and I found a car I want. My dad and I are going out to look at it this week weekend. It is a 1958 Edsel Corsair 4 door. It's copper and white. I can't wait to see it. We may end up buying it. It was parked in the garage in 1962 with 32,000 miles on the odometer, and it hasn't moved since.
