Default 1967 mustang coupe with Lemans side fill gas cap

this is a question to all who are interested in seeing new ideas for restomod designs on early mustangs.

What are the thoughts of a Lemans gas cap, like eleanor, on a 67 mustang coupe?
And if anyone has tried it please let me know, does it work or not?

And Im not talking about replacing the original gas cap with a lemans cap, but with a relocated gas cap on the side of the coupe.

please let me know of any ideas.

Not really with out it sticking out on the rear quarter. Why not just shave it off get a fuel cell and have the filler in the trunk.

It would stick out (we make a LeMans filler) and it is just oversized. The one on my Classic Mini cooper would work on the upper part of the qrt panel so it would be like the old Jaguars.

I would use something like this Billet Gas Cap: Air Ride Technologies - Ridetech.com and counter sink it in so it don't stick out. They have it in black too 67-68 Camaro Black Gas Cap: Air Ride Technologies - Ridetech.com
