Question 1966 Mustang-Best Place to Get Interior Restoration Parts

Hi all this is olny my second post so i hope i get this in the right place! I am going to order a new interior for my 1966 coupe with the pony interior. My question is where is the best place to order parts? I have considered Laurel Mountain Mustang, Year One, Mustangs Unlimited, and Mustang Depot. Are these places ok? experiences with companies? Where would you order parts from?
Thank You for all the help!

I have had experience with Laurel Mountain Mustang. They are about 65 miles from me, so I usually go to their store to get what I need. I haven't had any problems with them. I have also had ALOT of experience with Mustangs Unlimited. They are a really great company, but National Parts Depot is cheaper. Check out National Parts Depot. In the end it really comes down to cost. Almost all the classic Mustang parts providers sell TMI upholstery.

I would highly recommend Virginia Classic Mustang. They set me up with a very nice set of TMI ivy gold and white deluxe interior components for my 66 - check out my profile. Their prices are the best around, but they do charge for shipping. Its best to get all the parts from one supplier as they pay attention to matching.

I have bought kits from both Dallas Mustang and CJ Pony parts and they are both good about including everything you need, matching all of the colors and shipping it all together for a package price, it is the way to go if you need more than just seat covers.

They all carry the same products, out of the major makers TMI is far better. Fits better, lasts longer, matches better, and if you are doing foam they have foam with listing wires already installed so it makes super easy to install. Call and see who has it in stock, just make sure to get TMI

A lot of parts are only made by one company so its best to shop around. To me year one is over priced.Do you want to keep it bone stock or do some updating maybe some custom parts.I have used NPDLink | National Parts Depot for years there stuff is nice and never had a problem yet knock on wood.

I would echo Calpony on the TMI - very nice stuff. I've used NPD and VCM and been happy with both.

In my almost 30 years of mustang ownership I have used numerous vendors.
All of the above mentioned places are good to deal with , My advise is to order something from a few different places and go with whoever provides the best service .
You may also want to keep an eye on EBAY I bought a complete TMI set for my 67 for less than 50 shipped, brand new in the box from an upholstery shop that went out of business.
