Default Advice on Tranny swap, 1972 Mustang

I am considering doing a swap to a manual transmission from an FMX in my 1972 Mustang to get the benefit of a lower cruising RPM (shooting for around 2200 @ 75). It has an H code 351 Cleveland, so it is a 2V now, but I am planning on switching to a 4V in the near future. As far as power goes, I plan to build the motor in the next 2-3 years, but it isn't going to be anything radical. I have a 9'' differential, not limited slip with around 3:50 gears in it. I don't want to change that, and to get an overdrive unit it would cost around $2,000 and I prefer o drive stick anyway.

My Questions are thus:
1) Can I safely swap to a standard V-8 T-5, for example out of an 80's Mustang? Can the stock T-5 handle the torque? Is the bell housing the same?

2) Would it be better to swap to a T-5z since I plan to build the motor eventually? (I plan on a 300rwhp car with around 300-350 ft/lbs of torque)

3) Would it be possible to put a 4 speed toploader in there and swap the 4th gear ratio to make 4th my overdrive? If it were possible would that save me any money?

4) Where can I get a clutch pedal assembly for a 71-73 car? I see them all the time for the 60's cars and I assume they are pretty easy to find for the Foxes as well, but I have never seen one in any of the catalogs for my year. Will any other years pedal assembly fit without too much custom work?

5) Is it possible to go cable clutch on these cars? I don't really want a hydraulic reservoir smashed against my power brake booster. Or is it possible to have both?

I will probably think of more questions as I get some responses but I think this should be enough to get me started. Thanks in advance!

Yeah Modern Driveline has everything you need to put a T5 in your car. It's all pretty much bolt in.
