Default Which interior to go with.

My wife and I have been restoring a 65 coupe and we're getting ready for the interior. How much is entailed in converting from
the standard interior to a pony interior? Are the seat frames the same? Is it just a matter of different upholstery and parts?

The seat frames are the same but require different foam in addition to covers. The door panel and would fit I believe but you would not have the interior light in the bottom of the door unless you cut a hole in the standard door. May also be some issues with fitting the pony door handle. The gauges would be different (5 gauges rather than 3). The rest would I believe just be swapping things like carpeted kick panels for plain, wood grain bezel and glovebox door. The rear quarter trim is covered in vinyl rather than being painted. Several suppliers sell the whole conversion kit and they can be pricey.

If your going pony interior, you should just make the whole car a 65 GT CLONE!
