Default For Insurance - what's it worth - mach 1

Hello all,
Happy 4th,
I am planning on putting the Mach on the road.
I would like a general idea of value of the car.
Details
70 Mach 1 - 90,000 orig
Car has been painted black 351 Clev
Body very good
Interior very good - small crack on pad
of dirty (after 20 years) of the car now

I can't find a ballpark for the car. - It is not restored original it is a street car.

Thanks Print Dad

The best thing you can do for insurance purposes is get it appraised and then add a bit for good measure.

If I was you and the car is in decent shape insure for at least $25000 or more. Try Hagerty they are very resonable.

I agree, you should get it appraised. But if you're trying to get an idea I know someone that had a '69 Mach I an original 390 car with a rebuilt 390 and it was show quality restored. He sold it for $30k.

If you don't want to pay for an appraisal, I'd look at ebay auctions for a car in similar condition to yours. Then, just follow it'til it sells and you'll get an idea what it's worth that way.

Since your car is "driver" condition I would comfortably say it is worth in the 17k-22k range. This is the area I've seen other similar non concourse, non highly detailed cars go for. The value fluctuates between market area, other options on car and if everything works/functioning. 4 speeds usually pull more money than 3 or autos. The market has softened up but you have a desirable true Mach.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.
