Default Need a Buffing compound for a good finish on my Mach 1

Hi everyone.
I just got a Mach 1 that was painted last fall. I can feel some imperfections in the paint like overspray... (Kind of a mild rough feeling in places.

I'm looking for a good buffing compound or something to give it a show quality shine. I want to do it by hand to be cautious.

Any suggestions on what to use or how to do it?

First, make sure you have a good soap and wool wash mit. Do not use dawn or dish soap unless you want to remove the existing wax. (This may not be a bad idea if you are starting from the beginning).

Second, clay bar your car. This removes any rough spots and removes any imperfections that your car may have on the paint surface.

The first two steps are done by hand.

Lastly, you can apply the finishing wax with a detailing machine. Do not attempt to use this by your hand as you could create swirl marks if your car is a dark color. Do one section (2x2) at a time.

I recommend the Ultima car care products.

Is your finish clear coat or acrylic lacquer?

Its a clearcoat. Just painted in the fall.
I went to Autozone & got a Mothers kit...
clay bar, spray shiner, & wax. with microfiber rags & applicators.

We'll see how it does.

I really like the Wizard products. More expensive, but well worth it.
