Default 1965 Mustang overheating

Hello, I have a 289 that is overheating after driving about 30 min. New thermostat, radiator, hoses, water pump seems to be working, recently flushed engine with over the counter cleaner, new antifreeze. Ideas?

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a lower radiator hose spring, but I haven't tried a new radiator cap. Current one holds pressure. I did just install a new heater core and hoses. How do i go about the air bubble situation? I've ran the engine w/o the cap with the heater on, radiator overflows after a few minutes. What else might I try? Thanks again.

Air bubble is what I thought too. Run it up to temp in your garage, with the cap off and some kind of container on the top of the radiator (I used the top half of a Dasani/Aquafina/whatever water bottle) and switch the car off when the coolant rises. Add water when it goes back down. I like to run a 2:1 water/coolant mix as water sheds heat better than coolant. It may take an hour in a radiator that needs to get rodded out like mine, but it gets the job done.
