Default 1965 Mustang 6cyl 3spd clutch and flywheel

Hello I'm new to the site and Mustang ownership. I recently purchased a 65 Mustang with a 6cyl and a manual 3spd for my wife who does not drive a manual transmission. I figured she would learn to drive it quickly but the poor clutch got smoked in the process. The clutch kit was almost impossible to find and the flywheel seems to be impossible to find new. I usually replace both at the same time but have resorted to having the old flywheel resurfaced. If the old flywheel does not work out where can I find a new one?
Would I be better off swapping to an automatic? Are parts easier to find for a automatic? It looks like V8 parts are easy to find. Did everyone else give up on the 6cyl and swap to a V8?

Thanks

Perhaps some driving lessons may be cheaper than another repair bill.

You should try MustangsUnlimited.com, they have a kit for the 65. I was looking for mine and I saw that one.
