Default 1965 Mustang clutch only returns half way

it only returns half way, so when i drive it i pull it up with my toes and it drives normal, is there a setting i could change, if i would leave it at half, it feels like i'm losing power. thanks

Default 65 clutch only returns half way

Hello Lucciano,
Sounds like the return spring is off/ broken.

It goes into 2 holes on the shock tower and to the clutch fork.

It keeps the z bar rod to clutch fork tight and together. It also, on the old style clutch, keeps the throwout bearing off the pressure plate.

The reason the car feels less powerful is the throw-out bearing is still sitting on the clutch plate fingers.

I think if you look around under the car you will see it. With luck it has just fallen off.
