I think the rust is keeping the car together. Should be interesting to see how high the bidding goes to. Boss 302 car prices have taken a pretty good hit lately....especially the '70 model.
That car is rough, but still a Boss. It would be worth the VIN# for $1,000.00. I wouldn't think he would get too many offers above that. If I had the space to work on another Mustang I'd buy it.
Only thing i see that looks like a boss part is the black trim around the back window.I don't think a boss came with a auto i could be wrong.I would put the vin on a dynacorn body would be easier.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Not enough left of the original to proceed from.
I bought a 66 289 a few years ago in Miami in way worst condition for $1400. It had a vinyl top and you could literally see the ground through the a-pillars and the quarters. I bought it for two purposes. One was a friend was building a race car and needed a VIN so he bought the title and VIN for $900. I got a complete 289, C-4, P/S set up and full A/C system. I think I got a really good deal
Hello. He might have the dash tag and buck tag for the boss, but, that car was originally a Mach I. I think that I would have to pass.
I don't think it was a Mach 1. It does not have a Mach Grill or Interior, but it does look like it had some hood pins mounted to the radiator support, but it seems that he has forgotten to post any of the important pics, like the choke knob, or at least the clutch pedal, or inner fenders. But I think it could be a real boss that was rebuilt with doner parts from a mach, or the owner just added hood pins.

I've had 60 cars....most of them Mustangs :-)
Bidding on that Rustang is over 4500 -- no auto boss 302 -- but it sure has an auto shifter -- and no pictures of vin or door plate -- probably a reason for that too.

Hi again. Look at that rust line down the lower part of both sides of the car. That sure looks like it sat out in field for a loooooong time and the 70 Mach I side molding held onto water. The grille and the panel over the glove box that had the clock in it are things that have a little bit of value. That stuff could have been sold off at some time in the past.
I don't think its a Mach either, looks like a rusty old sportsroof to me
EXCEPT I do notice reinforced shock towers
I guess the only real way to tell would be to inspect the vehicle in person
Hi again. Yup, the only way to know for sure would be to look at it in person, but, the rust line and the reinforced shock towers were what sold me on the idea of a Mach.
As a side note, I just drove through Maryville last saturday.
