Default 1969 Sportsroof, M Code - Is it a real GT?

Is this is the real deal? If yes, there can't be many of these out there. I've never seen a '69 Sportsroof GT. The price seems low.

1969 Ford Mustang GT $10.000

It says the car is located in the US.

I am selling my 1969 Mustang GT.
The car was completely restored using mostly NOS parts or rebuilt original parts and maintains the original M code engine and Rear end.
Restored, Original Matching Numbers, the car is in Excellent condition.
Car was originally a 3 speed car, but was upgraded to a 4 speed during restoration.
The car was restored several years ago.
Everything works correctly on the car and it is very nice.
It has documentation including Marti report, Engine and Rear end tag, Window sticker, owners warranty card and owners manual.
The car was painted Royal Maroon.
The car is solid with very nice body, trunk, foot boxed and floors.
New Magnum 500 wheels were added to the car, although it is a REAL and very Rare GT with the correct GT stripes, Gas Cap, Rear valance panel with the correct quad exhaust tips. Interior is very very nice with Rim Blow Steering wheel, Woodgrain dash with Clock and all new interior components.
All Fender badges, blacked out hood, hood pins, etc… are all very correct and nice.
Car of course has the Hoodscoop with turn signals, available on the GT and again is documented by the Marti report.
Note that only about 4085 GT’s were ever made and this one is most likely one of the nicer ones in the country.
Engine compartment is virtually pristine and correctly detailed, with new Autolite battery, correct cables, date coded hoses, coil, Voltage regulator and spark plug wires. A Motorsport engine dress up kit (valve covers with wing nuts and air cleaner) can be kept or replaced with OEM equipment in about 10 minutes to get back to exactly how it came from the factory).
I just like the look of it, but as the new owner, you may want to change it.
Motor was completely rebuilt, as this is the original true M code numbers matching 351 Windsor that has a mild cam, roller rockers, Holly performance carb and Chrome headers as well as low restriction mufflers to make this car run and sound incredible.
It kicks out about 340 HP and was mated with a top loader 4 speed to make it nicer to drive around town and on the freeway.
Car comes with the original 9 inch, 3:25 rear end, perfectly set up for driving!
Original 82,279 Miles!
Underside, interior, engine compartment and entire car are in very very nice condition with no issues whatsoever.

1969 was the last year for the GT package but it was also the first year for the Mach 1. The Mach was the GT package with the addition of the Mach stripes and deluxe interior so most people sprung for the Mach. The GT package was discontinued after being ordered on only 4,084 Sportsroofs vs. 72,459 Machs.

The only downside is the GT package was available on all body styles while the Mach was only the Sportsroof, still there were only a grand total of 6,694 GTs made in 69, being an additional 1,483 coupes and 1,127 converts. With 300,000 Mustangs built in 69 and only 6,700 getting the GT package it wasn't worth it to Ford to offer that option anymore. Same reason with the cruise control option being no longer offered after the 69 model year, Ford wanted to cut costs and get rid of options that didn't sell enough.

If that car is the real deal it is one unique car!

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

Does Anyone think it's the real deal?

It very well could be if that Marti report he has belongs to that car and no VIN swapping or anything has gone on.

They do say it has the Marti Report, hard to argue with that.

A few posters in this forum have commented on rust bucket car that were for sale by saying " I'd buy it and use the VIN on a Dyanacorn body" or I bought this rusty car for the engine and a guy bought the VIN from me for his project car.

This way of thinking is just plain bad for this hobby.
