Hay everyone i am new here but hope someone can help me out with a difficult question. I will be painting my stripes on the outside of the car to match a dark red dash pad problem is i dont have the pad yet does anyone know a color that matches 66 dark red dash pad correctly? I would like to paint with actual automotive 2 stage paint the inside of my car. If anyone knows of a color that matches well with the dash pad please send me the info as i am at a point where i need the info asap. Has anyone attempted this before? Well thanks to anyone in advance for advice!

There used to be a Krylon burgundy rattle can that was very close to the dashpad color.
The problem with the dashpad on a '66 with a dark red interior is that the dashpad does not really match anything else in the interior.

I would suggest getting an original tooling dashpad and get some paint mixed to match it.

Thats my exact problem im trying to match everything up. I have samples from tmi and i can get everything to match through some custom work but nobody has the dash pad in stock so im kind of stuck. I would like to paint the inside and the stripes outside with regular automotive paint but im at a stand still because of this issue. Anyone else ever run into this?
