A 1 trans code is for the 3 spd manual

A 1 rear code is for the 3.00 open rear in the 65-67 model years and a 2.75 in the 68 model year. It is non-locking in all years, it would have to be a letter code to be locking in most cases.

C - 3.20
D - 3.25
E - 3.50
H - 3.89
I - 4.11

(this works completely for 66 too, and 67 with one change for that year with the H being a 2.75 and the 3.89 not being available anymore)
