Question about Dealerships in 1966

Does anybody know what one of the ford dealers was in San Jose in early 1966? I want to try and find one of the dealership badges from a San Jose dealership for the taillamp panel of my Mustang. If anybody knows where I can find one I would appreciate it. Thanks, Michael.

It could be a lot of work but the San Jose library may well have your answer. Search for a city business directory for 1966 which should tell you the who and where of all the local businesses for 1966. Copies of 1966 San Jose Mercury newspapers would also be helpful and a Google search says that those may be in the local King library.

I lived nearby in 1970 but 1) that was a long time ago, and 2) it wouldn't really be accurate for 1966. Unfortunately, you aren't close to there at all. Compared to today, San Jose was a small town in 1966.

Thanks guys. Reign444, that is really cool. Unfortunately, it doesn't help me as I don't have my cars original warranty card, which is what those numbers are on.

Drill deeper. This is what reign444's thread reference says on page 2:

...IIRC when San Jose Ford moved from N 1st Street to Stevens Creek Blvd, in the mid 1970's it became Frontier Ford...

The dealership was at a different address. It was at 375 S. Market St in 1965 and 2111 N. 1st St. in 1967. Same dealer code...
