Default Flat, Satin or Semi-Gloss?

Should the black interior paint be flat, satin or semi gloss? The dash looks flat and the doors look semi? The PO painted doors for sure and I want to repaint everything, but I'm just not sure about the sheen. Thanks.

well i have my dash in my 85 satin black and if its sunning out the glare off the dash makes it a little tough to see whats in front of you.

you want to paint the dash flat, otherwise you'll have too much glare. original paint on dashes is a non-reflective coating so the view out the windshield is unimpeded.

Thanks, makes sense! I went to the parts store and they actually sell a dash spray paint that is flat. Perfect!
