Default looking to buy 1969 mustang straight 6 have questions

Hi, looking to buy a 1969 mustang straight 6 for my 16 year old son and wondering if there is anything I should look for. My friend has one that is in great condition restored and is goingto sell it to me for $5700. I believe this is a great price? Any info I can get I would appreciate. Thank You

Well, if the car is in the condition you say it is that is a good price. Being in Chino you don't have to worry about the winters we get in other areas of the country so winter driving doesn't apply.

You don't mention what body style or other options the car has but even if it is just a base coupe that is solid and redone the price is still more than fair.

There were also two 6 cyl motors in 69, the base 200 (with the 4 lug suspension) and then the optional 250 (with 5 lugs). Parts are readily available for both.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

Hello. The car will have the letter L as the fifth digit of the vin if it came with the 250. It will also have five lug nuts per wheel instead of four.

I'm in Kentucky we do get snow at least once a winter but its nothing bad.And cars rusting isn't that bad really. For that price the car better be in great shape no rust nothing wrong with it good paint and nice interior.
