engine and Trans code locations

I have a 1970 Coupe. It was not born a boss 302 but is now a boss clone. It now has a rebuilt 4bl 302 with a C6 trans...I need to get a new Kick down cable for the rebuild. It is hard to buy a cable for a "302" with a C6 trans. Can anyone tell me where I can find the Trans code and the engine code so I can be sure I know what I have????

and how do i know what size kick down cable to get?
