Default performance 5.0 / C4 with 4 lug

I saw this ebay ad which I would like to share, haha. Looks to be a very nice car, nicely done with new tires even. Has a 5.0 with performance parts but it has all stock four lug suspension, brakes and real axle!! Can't be safe, oh but it says the brakes are all completely rebuilt! Why wouldn't it be safe?
Just because the axles are small, the rear gears are small and the brakes are small doesn't make it unsafe unless you are going to go faster than the car was originally designed to go. At freeway speeds it will be fine.
Not everyone races their cars.....

I have a '66 with a 289 4 barrel carb. with a 4 lug suspension. I am slowly upgrading it as I replace parts but I am also only using it as a street car. I've had no problems and it has been safe.

The car will be fine. I would upgrade the suspension though.

Er I guess if you drive it very slowly like an old lady you won't break anything, I still think it wouldn't stop very well with 6 cylinder drums. The point was everything is all freshly rebuild and painted, which is funny to me, why not upgrade to V8 suspension during the restoration...
