Default ford exterior mixing codes

looking for help on determining the original color of a recently purchased car i have the mixing code off the buck tag the car was a special ordered paint option when this happens door tag color code is left blank anyone have (mx codes) out there i found some but not this one

You need to find or find someone with the Ford Special Paint Selector Book from that era, it will have all the MX and WT non stock paint codes with color chips in it. I have been looking for one for years and have yet to get one.


Did you check any of the hidden areas of the car like up under the package shelf in the trunk orbehind panels in the interior for original overspray?

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

Post mixing codes

thanks for the advice but no luck car was very well painted , cannot locate build sheet at this time, havent had alot of time to look although, i found a web site that had some numbers close but no cigar,couple of digits off , will still keep searching
