Default 1967 wooden steering wheel on a 1966 Mustang

Hey there,
Got a '66 mustang and I am redoing the interior and I want the '67 wooden steering wheel on my pony.
Is this possible?
I don't like the '66 wooden steering wheel since it is plastic.
I don't like the grant steering wheels either.
Thanks.

Is the 67 real wood? It should work. In theory the only difference (other than what the wood is made out of) is that the 67 center button had that vinyl crash pad which you could replace with a 66 center cap.

Not the one from the factory. It's simulated wood grain. I wish mine was real wood - it just looks alot better. Dallas Mustang used to restore them with real wood, but last I checked, they were not doing it anymore. I'd like to have mine re-done with real wood, but haven't found anyone that does it.
