Are the fenders dated or have a code I can cross reference on them? As for the floor pans, they are solid and have not been replaced. I will definitely post some pics of them with the car. The three speed is one of the options that attracted me to this car being a manual shift. I guess the automatic is more desirable? To be honest, I have been a Pontiac guy almost all my life. Ask me anything about the GTO/Lemans and I could probably tell you (don't hate me). So, for having this Mustang is new territory and I am learning every day what makes this car what it is. Again, if it was financially possible to keep this car I would.
SDMustangRider,
I willing to entertain that offer.
Thanks Again,
A.J.
Hi again. I'm glad that you didn't take what I said the wrong way. I like the car. There should be a date code on the lip where the six bolts hold it onto the car under the hood. There were some replacement fenders from Ford that had a little arrowhead looking indentation on that lip, and it looks like you just caught one of those in one of the pictures. How the transmission pecking order goes is four speed manual is at the top, then the automatic, then the three speed manual. Here's a picture of that date code on the fender.
(Psssst. I love the 64-66 goats also. )

You need to step away from the car and have someone else help you buy one...There are a ton of deals out there and you can buy a car like this for under $8K here in California. Anyone that is trying to get the NADA value of $27K for a C code 3 speed coupe is nuts! Unless someone famous died in it...I doubt anyone is getting $20K for coupes.

Not sure where you're at but I know in San Diego, people are wanting a grip load of money. I found a couple places in Orange County for $6500. Still, check Craigslist and you'd be surprised what people offering for their cars. I've even seen convertables, respectfully I understand they are truly CLASSICS and worth some but I seen some for $25-30K?? Seriously??! and they are not V8. Either ways, RED, I still wouldn't mind paying around 8k for it since it's painted and of course definitely no rust and the interior must be a super great shape? Just thing I hate is when I see a good car and it's out of state, I usually don't like to buy a car that's out of state. Nice Red Mustang though. Come move to San DIego. haha

Ahh ok Pony. Rancho Cucamunga? Lake Elsinore area? Just saw your location. haha I've been checking the Inland Empire location too. If you come across any Mustang, 65-68 and definitely V8, hit me up.

Its Cucamonga about 45-50 miles north of Lake Elsinore. Anyways If you can't find a coupe for less then $8K in So Cal anywhere you should ready my blog post on barn finds.

Ya, 10k Is on the high-end prices for a coupe, in my opinion, I'd never pay that much for one unless it were especially nice.

My '67 Coupe 302 I got for 3k, and I got a 67 coupe with a 390 that i bought for 7.5k and re-sold.

But from my experience the coupes have ranged from 200$ ~ 15k at the MOST, and those were like, 9 second cars with roll cages and **** lol.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I sold the car this weekend and the guy who bought it was very pleased. I hope to have another Mustang in the future. Thanks Again.
