Default Magnum Wheels & Disk Brakes

I'm considering converting to front disk in the near future. I need to know if I will still be able to use my factory 14" Magnum wheels or will there be a back spacing problem? Has anyone done this conversion using the Magnum wheel?

What conversion are you using? The stock Styled Steel Wheel was a 14" so it would depend on what kit, I would check with the manufacturers of the kit.

That's just it. I don't know what kit at the moment. It would help me if someone could also advise on a kit that would fit these wheels.

Your best bet would be from csrp.com. There grenada brakes and have somewhat small rotors compared to aftermarket prices and its at a price that cant be beat.

I just finished reading about csrp.com kits. They say that using their 4 piston caliper kit, they will fit Magnum wheels. But using their Granada kit may fit and may not fit.

Now I have to find out if the 4 piston calipers are a good choice.

Decent prices on their kit btw.

I'm new to this forum, but you guys might want to look at the product(s) offered by: Scarebird Classic Brakes LLC

I was considering their conversion kit for my '68 AMX until I sold the car. I've heard nothing but good things about their products and they use all standard, off-the-shelf rotors, etc.

I have no affiliation with this company, just giving alternatives.

The Magnum Wheels are all Disc Ready, Ford Never made a Drum Magnum.

Yes, the 4 Piston K/H Factory setup will function perfectly on the 4 Piston Brakes.

Stick with the Original Configuration, Not Homemade Pieces Parts, Rotors off a Zeplin, Calipers off a Mack Truck, etc---Keep it Stock FORD.

I would be scared to run scarebird brakes too much mix matching parts like ranger rotors and s10 calipers. For the price you can't beat the oem 4 piston.

I also agree. I don't like the idea of mix matched parts from different makers. Although, if on a tight budget, then go for it.

I'm on somewhat of a budget, but not a "Wally World" budget either.

This is going to be one on my many "Winter Projects" to do.

Good to know that my Magnums are disk ready.....
