I could only find the 3D- dark red clarion knit vinyl mach1 hi-back. Is the A something different or is it the same? Right now the car has black int. with the red stripe on the high back buckets. Any info would be appriciated. Thanks |
Hi, your car would be a 351w 2v, a Windsor as the Cleveland wasn't available until the 70 model year when both were used.
The 3DA is correct for the Mach 1 dark red clarion knit with high back seats. The 3D is the Mach dark red color and the A signifies the high back seats. The A is added since the high back seats were a separate option available on all models and interior colors.
It sounds like you got a basic Marti report as the deluxe would break the info further down on your car, even further that I can do with Marti's books but here's some other info I can give you on your car,
Your car is 1 of only 507 (possibly less) with Pastel Gray paint and 3D interior (I don't have the A info separate).
You don't mention what
tranny you have, but in 69 with an H code motor here's the production numbers for all Sportsroof models, can't say how many were Machs
Code 1 (3 spd) 5,693
Code 5 (4 spd wide ratio) 3,219
Code 6 (4 spd close ratio) 278
Code W (C4 auto) 1
Code X (FMX auto) 23,511
Don't know if you can still see the original Pastel Gray paint on the car but it is an off white color that almost looks white, here's a pic of a 69 Mach that color,
