Default 1973 mustang carb troubles

PLEASE, help me. I have a 1973 coupe 302 2 barrel and while changing the gasket for the vacumm whatever located just brhind the carb (seemed as if i was leaking something from there)
the bolts were over tightened and the carb spacer broke!
How do I know which product to by to replace?
Thankx.........

If I want to up grade to a 4b carb ,how hard is it?

Well if you want to switch to a 4 barrel carb you'll need to replace the intake manifold. I suggest the performer RPM from Edelbrock. Carbuerator wise you have many choices but my personal choice was a 625cfm Road Demon Jr. I had that setup on my 67 and it was great.

Hmmm.... '73 and from Canada....

Sounds like California type emission stuff...

Pics would help, but I'd get rid of the spacer! You can keep the approximate thickness by getting an after market spacer and plugging the vacuum lines.

A Holley 2bbl spacer should fit fine.

I'd not go to the trouble of a 4bbl/intake swap on a stock motor. The performance gains will be very minor.
