Default Difference between 1968 Mustang GT and GT clone

This may seem like a stupid question but what is the difference between a 1968 GT and a 1968 GT clone? Looking at one for sale and would like to know if a clone justifies a higher price than just a regular coupe

If it doesn't matter to you than who cares, it's your car. Although there is the issue of resale. I wouldn't give GT money for a clone unless you planned to keep it a long time because you may have trouble finding someone to do the same when selling it.

A real GT was born a GT Mustang, a clone was made to look (and in some cases drive) like one.

A clone may command a higher price than a regular base Mustang, only because of the extra parts (appearance mods, engine swap, etc.) and work put into making it seem like a GT.

A doppelganger can be shallow or serious, done to different extents depending on how extreme the "cloning" was (was it just appearance changes to look like one? or just an engine swap? or would it be almost impossible to tell a real GT from the clone without looking at numbers?)

A real GT obviously should garner the highest price of the 3 (out of base, clone, true GT).

A clone should never cost more than a real GT in the same condition with similar traits.
