Default Need Help finding a website that built turn key 351 clevelands

Hi I'm trying to remember this website that sold turn key Cleveland engines from California. If I remember they sold a boss 351 setup.

If anybody knows this website it would be much appreciated I thought the address was performance engines or something.

Thanks,
Tyler

a 351 boss is real easy to make was just a alum intake and adjustable rockers on it.

Before you decide to have one built and shipped, look into local machine shops and local builders. If something goes wrong (knock on wood) they will be able to handle it and look at it. If they are on the other side on the country, you will have to remove and ship it back for them to inspect.

There are also lots of threads on forums about shops that take your money and drag their feet for 6 to 12 months on the build. I wont name the company but currently they have LOTS of people waiting with no engine or refunds on stroker engines.

Get recomendations from local Mustang groups or performance part stores

just something to think about

Thank you all! Powerheads was the website I was thinking about!

Thanks for the advice 66 restomod, I think I might take your advice and see if I can find any local engine builders here in Indianapolis

Would this shop happen to be based in the Indiana?

The one I have been reading about on many forums is based in North Carolina. 2 initials in the name of the company.
Some people have been waiting for over a year for an engine and have broken promises, no delivery and no updates. The company keeps taking orders and money but not delivering. Some have sent parts only to find someone else was given the parts on their engine build.
There are at least 300 people back ordered with no way to get the engine or a refund. Problem has been going on since 2006 and there is a class action lawsuit.
I have no first hand experience with the company but if you are interested in the name and forum links PM me.

There is another one in Indianapolis, very same story. Also all ove the internet.

Use caution when ordering a crate engine from out of town. They are not all bad, but it could be a real hassle if you have an issue.
